Happy Tuesday!!!

I had an early start to my day today.  I made it to spin class at 5:15 this morning.  I missed yesterday's because of Brady's nap, so I thought I would try and make it up today.  As Jenn would say, I saved the world by 9 today.  It's only 9am and I've already worked out, showered, walked Drake, washed up the dishes, did laundry, played with Brady and now he's napping.  Good morning so far, but maybe I see a nap in my future for this afternoon.  We are headed downtown to visit and have lunch with my old coworkers and to see Chris, so I have a feeling we will be tired after all of this today!

I am SO frustrated with my volunteer goal.  It seems like the organizations I am really interested in require screening, an interview, etc. etc. etc..  I'm not sure if I want to go through all of that and waste their resources for a one time visit.  I feel like quitting, but I hope I stick it out.

Brady has lots of updates lately!!!  Let me tell you that I don't think I can keep referring to him as my baby anymore.  He's my little man now.  And boy is he a busy little man.  As proof of this, he has rug burn on his knees from all the rounds he's been making.  He even developed a little blister on his foot since he has been working on pulling himself up and standing.  Seriously!!!  Here is what he has been up to:

He has begun to blow bubbles a lot with his spit also.  He thinks it's hilarious when Chris mimics Curtis Stones' voice from the Hy-Vee commercial and always breaks out into a grin when you start singing songs.  When you are feeding him his bottle at night or he's tired and trying to go to sleep, he loves to touch your face.  It must be a comfort thing for him.  He's onto Level 2 foods now.  He is also getting tired by 9pm most nights now instead of 10/10:30.  Thank goodness!  All this moving around must make him tired.  I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but he knows the Young and the Restless song.  It is pretty funny.  Whenever he hears it starting, he turns his head and watches TV.  My Grandma Espenhover would be proud of him.  :)  He likes to stand on my stomach and look over the back of the couch.  He gets the silliest grin on his face likes he's the coolest little thing in the world.  It makes me laugh!!  And we found his ticklish spot - on the top of his legs.  It's addicting to tickle him and hear that little giggle!!!

He's still fascinated by Drake and tries to follow him around.  Drake lets him touch him, hit him, touch his paws and crawl around him.  I knew he would be tolerant with Brady, but I'm surprised at how he lays there and takes it most times instead of getting up and moving.  I love Drake so much - he's such a good dog.

"Mom, just what is he doing?"
