Brady has had a few instances lately where "friends" have made fun of him. You know, as a parent you question every move and what you say to your kids and you almost just rely on faith that you are leading them in the right direction. You want them to be able to cope with reality and yet feel nurtured at the same time. Hearing kids say mean things to Brady literally makes my heart hurt. Does he feel confused? Hurt? I try and discuss it after the fact but I feel completely helpless in the moment.
A friend from church told him that being Mario for Halloween is dumb. I mean seriously, how is this dumb?
He also had a church friend pick up his drawing and say to other kids "look, it's just scribbles".
And walking out school a boy said good-bye to Colin and so Brady kept saying goodbye to the kid too but the kid ignored him.
I know kids are kids but it's still hard!
