Keeping Busy

We have been very busy the past few weeks!  One of the most fun things we did was meet our new niece Alyvia Anne Loeffelholz!  She is a beautiful little girl.  She has long dark hair with blond highlights.  I have never seen a baby's hair have two tones, but she is adorable!  I need to get a picture posted.  We love her so much and it was great to be able to see her when she was born.  Welcome to the family Alyvia!!! 

We have also made a few trips home to Carroll.  The first one Brady and I went by ourselves.  It took a LONG time to get packed up and ready to go, but it was worth the effort.  I had not been home since before Thanksgiving, so it was definitely time.  It was Brady's first trip to Carroll.  He was able to spend time with his grandparents and I got some rest!  Our second trip home was to meet our new niece Alyvia.  Both times Brady was an excellent little traveler.  Car rides put him right to sleep!  He makes it so easy for me!! 

We also went out for the first time and left Brady with a babysitter.  Our friend Janelle was celebrating her birthday at the Waukee Bowling Alley and then Mickey's.  My cousin and his family babysat and it was really easy to leave Brady with them.  I thought I would still have a hard time with it, but it's easy when it's family!!!  Although after a few hours, I really missed him so I skipped Mickey's and picked up Brady instead.  It was good to get out though and nice to know that Brady has wonderful babysitters.  Thanks Jenkins!!!  :)

We had some lunch dates and friend dates scheduled for this week, but it's snowing and sounds like it will get worse out.  I think we will stay put and just enjoying cuddling at home!!!  I am posting a picture of Brady that I took for his birth announcement.  It took a few days to get this right!!  I did center it for the announcement so it looks a little better than this one...
