It was only 8am and Brady had cracked me up - twice!!
* We walked outside and I made the comment about how chilly it was outside. He stood there, did a little shiver and said "I'm freezing Mommy!". He then paused and followed with "I need my jacket!!". It's just so funny how he talks now!
* We were walking out of Casey's and a van was now parked next to us. I told Brady to look at the black lab in the passenger seat with his nose out of the window. Brady looked at him and said "Nice to meet you!".
Love him. :)

Month in Review - August 2013
Indianola Balloon Festival (minus seeing the balloons!)
Trip to Carroll to see Melissa, Maxwell & Emmy - and touching a bunny for the first time!
Brady with his cousins (on my side). They only had a hour and half all together, but we got one picture!
Chris and I (& Brady) celebrated our 10 year anniversary this month. Two Caribbean martinis - yummy!!
I wanted a picture of Chris and I, but this will have to do!!
We made it to Brenton Arboretum a few times this summer with friends.
We finally made it to the New Hope Village employee family picnic this year in Carroll. It was fun!!
We had some dirty sweaty kids after the picnic, so why not have a bath together?? Bath times are a lot more fun with cousins!
Bedtime snack in Grandma and Grandpa's bed. Gabe is wondering when Lyvie will feed him??
Learning how to skip rocks at Badger Creek...
It's too hot to be outside, so let's paint!
Texas Roadhouse with the Wanningers and Grandma & Grandpa Espenhover. He crawled under the table so he could sit by some of his favorite boys.
Going to the driving range for the first time. It was fun (and mommy was thrilled to be out there again!)
Teeing up
His swing needs some work..
It was hot out - time for a drink of water! (or 20!!)
We said good-bye to a wonderful man this month. Earl Mart passed away at the end of August. I typically think of old men as grumpy old men, but he was NOT. EVER..... He was seriously the sweetest old man I have ever met. I will always hear his gruff voice in my head and miss the look on his face when we walk through the door. He was so happy to see us. We were lucky to have had him in our life!!
We tried the Renaissance Fair this year with Alecia, Rhonda, Brenten and Lyvie. Here's Brady's first time on a horse!

Weight loss update...
Well, I haven't posted much about my weight loss struggle since the end of the last challenge. Probably because once again, I am disappointed in myself. It seems as if has been really hard to stay focused on not grazing now that I'm not in a challenge. My weakness is processed carbs (crackers and chips) and M&M's (which I have never really craved before but seem to need them all the time now). I am only down around 2 or so pounds over the past few months. I still make such better choices then I did last year, but can't seem to get there any faster. Luckily, my workout partner and another lady and I decided to start our own challenge. We are doing MyFitnessPal together and do two weigh ins a week (Mondays and Fridays). Mondays are hard since Saturday afternoons through Sundays are a struggle with eating for me. I also had an "oh sh*t" moment this week when I realized that my sister's wedding is less then 2 months away. This is not "oh sh*t" because of her wedding, but because after that, we are going to be trying for our other three embryos. I literally panicked thinking about being pregnant at this weight. I am around 15 less then I was with Brady, but I felt so unhealthy and really want to at least lose 10-20 pounds by then. I really need to kick this in gear!!
I have two areas that I need to focus on: not grabbing a snack in the middle of the night when I let Drake out and cooking supper. I need to cook supper - don't know why I don't/hate it so much!!
