Month in Review - August 2013

Indianola Balloon Festival (minus seeing the balloons!)

 

Trip to Carroll to see Melissa, Maxwell & Emmy - and touching a bunny for the first time!

 

 Brady with his cousins (on my side).  They only had a hour and half all together, but we got one picture!

Chris and I (& Brady) celebrated our 10 year anniversary this month.  Two Caribbean martinis - yummy!!

I wanted a picture of Chris and I, but this will have to do!!

 

We made it to Brenton Arboretum a few times this summer with friends.

 

We finally made it to the New Hope Village employee family picnic this year in Carroll.  It was fun!!

We had some dirty sweaty kids after the picnic, so why not have a bath together??  Bath times are a lot more fun with cousins!

Bedtime snack in Grandma and Grandpa's bed.  Gabe is wondering when Lyvie will feed him??

We said good-bye to a wonderful man this month.  Earl Mart passed away at the end of August.  I typically think of old men as grumpy old men, but he was NOT.  EVER.....  He was seriously the sweetest old man I have ever met.  I will always hear his gruff voice in my head and miss the look on his face when we walk through the door.  He was so happy to see us.  We were lucky to have had him in our life!!

 

 

We tried the Renaissance Fair this year with Alecia, Rhonda, Brenten and Lyvie.  Here's Brady's first time on a horse!
