We are participating in the Awana program at church on Wednesday nights for two months. They needed volunteers so I signed up to volunteer K-2 and Brady participates in his age group (Puggles). He loves it and I love volunteering. :)
My little sister Jenn had her surprise bachelorette party in Omaha!
Brady participated in a Y class on Mondays called Fit Toddler. He was able/taught to run, skip, hop, play catch, do push ups, sit-ups, squats and yoga. It was cute, although during the last class while we were running, he stopped and said "I need a break." He really is so funny to me.
We had two nephews' birthday parties to attend to this month. Both were a lot of fun and Brady got some good playing time in with his cousins.
He is not only in a big boy bed, but we have also retired the highchair. Simply because this is how he insisted on eating...
We went to see Thomas the Train in Boone with Chris's family. He doesn't watch the show, but loves Thomas. It was cute and definitely worth the money, although part of me wondered if he had more fun jumping in the water puddles then on the train!
We welcomed a new nephew into the family on Chris's side. Bryce is adorable (and so little!!).
We continued with our Tuesday play groups. We switched up a Tuesday for a Friday though and went to the Center Grove Orchard. It was my first time there - I loved it and it was awesome to be able to go during the week! Brady had a BLAST.
We helped Makayla and Marissa (the twins I babysat for) celebrate their 1st Birthday! It was so much fun to see them again. And it was a little sad to see how fast they have grown up. We miss them!
Yes, it looks like Brady was crying because he was. He did not want to go.
They were a little overwhelmed!!!
And finally, when we went home to meet Bryce, a neighbor was kind enough to let the kids ride in an old fire truck. We all thought that was pretty neat!
In other notes:
*Drake turned 12 on September 6th. I cannot believe it! He is such a wonderful dog and although I get incredibly crabby about certain things and I CANNOT WAIT to get new flooring, that dog is my baby. It's so hard to see him age, but he's lived a long life and is still doing good for being 12!! Brady informed us a few weeks ago that Drake was his best buddy. :)
*I finished watching the twins at the end of August.
*Blue Bloods started. :)
*I realized that the t-shirt from Simpson finally fit Brady too. It was so big when they sent it to me and now it fits perfectly!!
