First round of pictures from back home...
Grandma teaching them about water guns
Bumping/pushing heads trying to get the same water balloons :)
Don't fall in Maxwell!
Hmmm.. I wonder what they are discussing... Probably something along the lines of Maxwell teaching Brady how to climb the fence...
Again... I sometimes see mischievous planning of not so great ideas in their future...
Having a conversation with Papa...
My adorably handsome little boy
Great-Grandma with the boys!! We love her!!

From the Mouth of Brady....
* In the right context, Brady will often say "Oh Man" or "Oh gosh!" (which sounds like Oh Josh). He even knows that if he says "Oh Dang it", he will get in trouble. I know he learned that nice little phrase from me, so I guess I have work to do myself. When he wants to be ornery though, he's say "Oh Dang it!".
* Today, Doc McStuffins came on TV while he was eating breakfast and he looked at me and said "Told you Mommy!". We had been discussing what was going to be on next a few minutes earlier. Where does he learn this stuff? :)
* The other week, Chris was talking and I can't remember what happened, but I think he hurt himself and Brady said "What happened Daddy?".
* He is starting to respond to the cartoons that ask questions. The other day he said "Right there!" to the TV when they asked a question about where something was.
* He says "Woo Hoo!" when he's excited for something.
* He picked up on my phrase "Ready boys?" when we leave the house.
* The other night when I was laying him down, he said "Sweet dreams Mommy". He once again melted my heart.
* We went out to eat tonight and we were sitting on the patio and I ordered another beer. The waitress brought it out and he said "Two beers mommy!". It was hilarious (I'm sure you had to be there)! I thought it was funny because I never once said the word beer and we rarely drink during the week. He picks up on so much...
* He says "Watch this!" when he wants to show us something.
* If anyone (including daddy or one of his friends recently) says "I love you Brady", he says "No, love Mommy!!". I don't mind this :)
And it's official, Brady is now in the other bedroom in a big boy bed. It took about a week to transition him to sleeping through the night again, but he is doing great! Now the next thing will be training him to go to sleep without me laying there the whole time. I decided to tackle this first over potty training since he had trouble understanding that the big boy underwear were not actually toys even though Buzz Lightyear, Monsters and Lightning McQueen were on them and no, you don't pull them over your head like a shirt. He never has accidents when he does not have a diaper on, but also was really confused when he had the underwear on - he's not making the connection there yet. So maybe in the fall we'll try again.
Here's pictures from August 2011, August 2012 and now August 2013. I love to see how much he's grown!!

Indianola Balloon Classic
We decided to keep trying new things, so we headed to Indianola one of the Friday nights of the Indianola Balloon Classic. We had fun and it was beautiful out, unfortunately just a little too breezy for the balloons to take off. It was a big bummer to not see them, but we had fun!!

Emmy Lou's Baptism
This past week has been fabulous. My sister Melissa has been home with her kids and we were able to spend quite a few days with them. I treasure every second since we just don't have it in the budget to fly out to Vegas this year. I will be uploading pictures of this past week over the next few weeks (visit to Papa's farm, water time, the park, etc), but I just have to post this one of my little Goddaughter and myself. I LOVED finally being able to meet her and miss them already!
